I remember the day God used a pear to save my life. Driving home from work, I had taken a bite of my pear and found it to be the juiciest pear I had ever eaten. Pear juice was running down my arm — it was sticky and gross! As I stopped at the first red light, I started to clean up the mess I had made. It wasn’t long before the light turned green, but I didn’t proceed through the intersection, not having fully cleaned up and noting no one was behind me. As I sat there cleaning the last bit of pear juice, a car travelling at a very high speed ran the red light straight in front of me! Talk about an adrenaline rush! I was so very thankful to God for that juicy pear.
The students created a body of work based on a fruit they loved or had a story to share about. Through the exploration of a variety of media such as watercolours, oil pastels, soft pastels, pens, and coloured pencils, the class created these A5 artworks.
