On Tuesday, 22nd October, Tweed Valley Adventist College proudly hosted its inaugural showcase evening, aptly titled “Created for His Glory.” This special event celebrated the unique talents and gifts that God has bestowed upon each of our secondary students, allowing them to shine and inspire those around them.
The evening was a vibrant tapestry of creativity and skill. Visitors were captivated by the striking pieces in Visual Arts, where students expressed their imagination and shared compelling stories through their artwork. The Textiles display showcased a range of colourful designs that reflected both skill and creativity.
Our Timber Technology students showcased their craftsmanship and innovation, presenting functional pieces that beautifully balanced utility and artistry. The Agriculture and Harvest displays added a splash of colour and intrigue, with the baby chickens being a particular highlight for attendees of all ages.
Musical performances from our talented ensemble filled the air with melodious sounds, while the Food Technology students tantalized taste buds with an array of culinary delights. The fun atmosphere was further enhanced by the lively Photo Booth, where students and families captured their memories from the evening.
As we reflect on this memorable showcase, we are filled with gratitude for the unique gifts our students have been given. We are reminded that all these abilities are a gift from Him and this evening is about glorifying Him. We eagerly anticipate future showcases, where our students can continue to demonstrate their remarkable talents and inspire our school community, celebrating the wonderful gifts that God has entrusted to each of them.
